What can you do?
Government has no plans to address the issue of hunger in Canada, yet 73% of Canadians consider hunger to be a serious problem. 57% feel that the government is largely responsible for solving this problem.

You can make a difference....
Write a letter or e-mail to your member of parliament.
Ask tough questions such as:
What does your MP think about the fact that 753,458 people use food banks each month across Canada?
Does the MP know that 13.4% of those who use food banks are people who are working but can't make ends meet?
Does your MP think its acceptable that 268,774 children use food banks?
Will your MP vote to make changes in policy that can help Canadians?
If you are an employer...
Aim to create labour conditions that accommodate the distinct needs of part-time, casual or contract workers.
Be diligent in assuring that those companies whom you contact meet the basic labour standards.
Provide live-able incomes.
